Madame Vice President,

My delegation would like to thank the delegation of Andorra, led by H.E. Mr. Gilbert Saboya Sunye, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, for their comprehensive report as well as their continued commitment to the UPR process.

Indonesia commends the commitment of the Government of Andorra in strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights and rules of law, through among others the establishment of the National Commission for the Prevention of Gender-Based and Domestic Violence, and the National Equality Commission.

Madame Vice President,

Indonesia notes with appreciation the steps taken by the Government of Andorra in implementing various strategic national plans, highlighting social and economic developments in the areas of youth, health, social security and gender equality. In this regard, Indonesia would like to recommend the Government of Andorra to consolidate all human rights related efforts through, inter alia developing a comprehensive National Human Rights Action Plan.

Indonesia also commends the efforts taken by the Government of Andorra in improving migrant and labour rights through the enactment of Act No. 10/2012, which enables foreign nationals to access their full economic rights. Therefore, my delegation recommends the Government of Andorra to strengthen its legal framework on the fulfillment of the rights of migrants, by considering its accession to the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (ICRMW).

Madame Vice President,

To conclude, Indonesia would like to offer its best wishes to the Government and people of Andorra in their future endeavors towards the promotion of human rights at all levels.

Thank you.
